Founded and led by Dr Barry Green...

Barry is a medical doctor (GP) with a love of the outdoors and is passionate about reconnecting our urbanised communities to the land; it’s vital for our health and wellbeing. He runs an inner-city community garden for patients, is a food ambassador for Feeding Liverpool and a trustee of the Liverpool Food Growers Network. Barry campaigns for a Right to Grow and is focused on building resilient, local food systems.

With a background in military medicine and scouting, he is interested in bushcraft, survival and emergency preparedness. Growing organic food and gardening for nature is his hobby (obsession), and every inch of his garden is covered in edible plants. He is a husband, father, and author of several books, and he loves teaching.

Dr Green is available to speak at conferences or events.

We are always on the lookout for collaborators to bring on board as foraging guides and would be happy to arrange a bespoke period of teaching/study.
